The Project

The Day of Calm Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to help children in Uganda and around the world. We are passionate about supporting education and giving these kids the opportunity to thrive.

We have partnered with Brilliant Primary School in Kyenjojo District, Western Uganda. This Christian-founded school started with a mission to help children in rural communities of Uganda, East Africa.

It started as a solution to school dropouts, primarily girls who resort to early marriages and child labor.

Located near the tea factory, many people come from distant places to work in the tea factory, which has led to the fast spreading of HIV/AIDS. Many orphans are being left behind as a result of this epidemic.

This school serves as a haven for these orphans and provides them with education.

Despite their difficult circumstances, these children are thriving! It is multiplying with a population of 417 students, 240 girls, and 15 teachers needing your help.

We believe that education is the most valuable resource any child can have. We hope this project will inspire others to see what they can do to help our children succeed.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child. Our mission extends beyond providing education; it's about creating a foundation for lifelong learning and building resilient communities. By focusing on the needs of children in Uganda, we're not just changing individual lives, we're transforming futures.

Our Impact

Our work at Brilliant Primary School is a testament to the power of education. From reducing school dropouts to empowering young girls, our impact is visible in the smiles of our 417 students. Our efforts combat the cycle of poverty and provide a beacon of hope in a region affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Our Approach

We believe in holistic education. This means not just academic learning, but also nurturing emotional and social development. Our approach involves engaging the community, understanding their needs, and tailoring our programs to create the most significant impact

Building Brighter Futures

In this inspiring interview, we meet John Paul, the founder and director of Brilliant Nursery and Primary School in West Uganda. John Paul shares his story of how he started the school to provide education to the children in his community who didn't have access to quality education.
